Do you want to overcome your fears?

Fear is a feeling that often paralyses us, dominates us, and makes us feel helpless.

We often let fear overwhelm us and we end up living a sheltered life. Because of this, we might be living the same situations again and again without reacting and we  might tolerate people who are really bad for us. The worst, though, is that our dreams stay unfulfilled.

We avoid taking risks and we try to avoid making mistakes in any way, because we live in a society that is constantly looking for someone to blame instead of helping people see that they can learn and improve through their mistakes.

So what are you afraid of?

Loneliness?

Making a decision?

To do something you  have never done before or to talk about something that bothers you?

No matter what you are afraid of, know that every time you avoid doing the thing that scares you, your fear grows. You may feel better temporarily because you are not experiencing this intolerable emotion, but as long as you are not dealing with the situation, the fear dominates you. By letting our fears win, we do not really live, we just exist, we exist trying to avoid anything that might hypothetically hurt us.

Fear makes us defensive and instead of seeing opportunities and the chance to live new experiences, we only see dangers and we act in every way possible to protect ourselves.

So, can we get rid of our fears?

The truth is that we may never be able to live a life without fear at all, but it is important not to let our fears to stop us from living, evolving and welcoming change.

The difference between those who really live and those that just exist is that the first do not let their fear control them, they are afraid …. but they dare to live.

So if you live a life full of fear, it would be good to start seeing your life and fears in a different way. Only then you will be able to truly live and enjoy the gifts that your existence has to offer.
